Our Meander
December 27, 2022 | Lukas Bacho SM ‘25
During my first semester at Yale, I made a habit of walking up to the Divinity School just before each of our three breaks: October, Thanksgiving, and Winter. There’s a labyrinth there, carved into the stone of a courtyard just behind Marquand Chapel.

December 27, 2022 | Justin Ferrugia TD ‘23+1
“Do the work!” This has become a command of the historically underrepresented, oppressed, and marginalized to their allies and others. It can be meant as a call to action, a cry for help, and an expression of the deep desire for change — for movement towards justice.
Ebenezer
June 25, 2022 | Anna Delamerced, MD
In pediatrics, there’s a thing called milestones. We love talking to families and children about them. Drawing a square. Tying shoe laces. Learning how to ride a bike. They’re markers of growth in a child’s development. At every annual physical exam, we check in on how they’re doing in school, what fruits and vegetables they like, how much exercise they’re getting. We love to learn about their interests, like art or music. We measure their height and weight. We show them how much they’ve grown.
Liturgies of Healing

What chronic illness and an extraordinary case study taught me about physical healing and spiritual formation.
The Hardest Goodbye
May 27, 2022 | By Raquel Sequeira TD ’21.5
Over the past few years, I’ve been learning more about the traditional Church calendar. I learned from my audio devotional that today (Thursday, May 26, 2022) is the Feast of the Ascension: the day we celebrate Jesus’ return from life here on Earth to his Father in heaven. I’m not sure how we’re supposed to feel on Ascension Day, but I find that this remembrance is making me profoundly sad.
For Whom the Bells Laugh
April 17, 2022 | by Aliénor Manteau H’23
Bells ring from Jerusalem’s church spires in the evenings. If you stand on tiptoe on the shower ledge of a hotel bathroom and look through the half-open skylight, or push open an unlocked door on the top floor of a restaurant and lean against an air vent on the roof, you can hear them ringing all over the city.
